He is smaller and still puts things in his mouth so that was a no no. I found these and decided to give them a try. The blocks are bigger (not huge) and fit perfectly in his little hands. They are very well made and durable so no matter how many times he has beat them on the floor they keep their shape and do not break.They are easy for him to put together and easy to take apart which was another huge plus for me. They matched the lego duplo blocks they had perfectly!! This definitely solved the fight over not enough blocks of one shape/size when added to what they had. My 8-year-old even enjoys the blocks. The blocks fit perfectly with Duplo blocks. We've mixed the different sets together at this point. The price point is far less than Duplo. There is a variety in the shapes so the building possibilities are endless. They fit together seamlessly and the girls can easily take them apart from themselves. I'm really pleased that mega blocks has expanded their line. I have other mega blocks and my girls love them. But these small ones she seems to prefer over the bigger ones. There easy to clean they stick together really well and come apart just as easy. First, I love that they come in a durable plastic container. Other blocks come in paper boxes that get destroyed, then you have to find a place to store the blocks. This container is strong and it even seems like it would stack well. The blocks are bright and colorful and includes several shapes. With 100 blocks, both kids were able to share and play at the same time. They also are compatible with other manufacturers, so you don't end up with a ton of blocks and have to figure which go with what group.
