Jeeps are a special favorite of his, so this is a real hit in my house. I will say that after using it, I'm not sure the RC function is as high quality as some of our other RC vehicles. It works, but the range isn't as high as some other toys that we have. It does get bonus points for realism: my son is very picky about vehicle toys that don't look like &quot;real&quot; (actual) vehicles, so this one ticks all the boxes for that. We are also really impressed by the dinosaur: it is also way more realistic than other dinosaur figures that we have. However, it loses points in my son's eyes because it has a base around its feet that means that more natural movement isn't possible during play. I think we would give five stars if the figure was stand-alone (without the base) and the RC car was a little more responsive. They've never had a remote control vehicle before but were able to figure this out pretty quickly. The dino capture element is a little clunky but they love it even without that. They took the car outside to race it around, and it easily goes over grass and sidewalks, and is easy to steer in all directions. Also, the noise level was good (not too loud like some other RC vehicles). My husband and I enjoyed driving it around as well. The magnetic dinosaur grabber on the front of the jeep was exciting to try to grab the raptor dinosaur. That feature helped hold my kids attention longer than a typical remote control car. Another good feature was the alignment option where you can align your car if it tends to veer off in one direction rather than straight ahead. The only thing my kid wished it came with was a driver figurine. You can attach the grabber on the front to play with the included dinosaur. Sometimes we take off the grabber and play without it. It easily drives on carpet. My husband loves to comment about how toys were never this hood or durable back in our day lol. Anyway I loved this RC car. It's big so the boys feel like making big big scenes when they play. The car itself works fine with the addition of the remote control, which we sometimes ignore because it's a battery drainer like all RC cars. My kids don't mind. The claw on the front can be temperamental getting it to stay latched. You have to hit the Dino just right to capture it, but my 9 year old seems to be enjoying the challenge. It drives better on our turf than smooth inside floors (luxury vinyl). The seats actually allow action figures to sit inside (front only) so that&rsquo;s a bonus. Wheels are rubber and the truck feels sturdy. The RV comes with a perfectly sized controller that fits in small hands or bigger hands. I love the simplicity of it. It has a clear on/off switch as well as one that makes the RV go forward and one that controls direction. My 4 year old was able to figure this out after a few minutes. The Jeep has spots for kids to put characters in if they want to. The Jeep also has a claw that attaches to the front. When it is pulled back and touches the Dino, it activates and traps him. Our kids have done this over and over and it still entertains them! The dinosaur is very realistic looking and is the perfect size for kids&rsquo; hands. My son loves the little platform it comes with to help it stand up. The only thing I would change about this is that it is really fast.
