It self bails, so if water gets in it, it automatically drains out. There's a notch in which she can put her paddle. And it is so easy to use - her second time out on the water she was paddling herself. She'll be able to use it for years to come. The quality for the price is excellent. On top of that, Lifetime has top notch customer service. We will be looking to them for our next kayak purchase as well.</span>
