<span itemprop="description">Après avoir longuement attendu avant de pouvoir me l’offrir, j’ai commencé le montage jusqu’à me rendre compte que le pied central ne descendait pas comme sur les instructions. Une erreur de montage ? Peut-être. Du coup, j’ai tout démonté pour recommencer. Arriver au milieu du set je me rend compte une nouvelle fois que le pied central ne descend pas. J’ai beau regarder, analyser le set sous tous les angles je ne vois pas le problème. Sans compter que dès que vous toucher un endroit de r2 y’a une pièce qui tombe, en particulier sur les jambes. Puis une deuxième et ainsi de suite. Jusqu’à en avoir marre et prendre le set et le balancer par terre. Du coup, j’ai mis r2 dans une boîte - enfin ce qu’il en reste - en attendant qu’il prenne la poussière. Ma pire expérience Lego. C’est à vous dégoûter à tout jamais d’un Lego</span>

It’s easy to get them backwards, when assembling the tubes. It would be cool if they came out with a 3-PO figure. Not to tall but just the right proportion to stand next to R2.</span>

I have been a fan of Star Wars for a long time, and my favourite thing about it has always been the droids and their unique personalities. R2-D2 is a favourite, and this set was perfect for me. It was so much fun to put together! It took me a good while, too. Sometimes I go through lego sets way too quickly, but this one allowed me to take my time and enjoy it. Assembly was surprisingly easy, and even though the frame on the inside had some complicated moving parts it wasn't a struggle. It's even bigger than I expected to be now that it's finished, which was a pleasant surprise. All in all, I think this is a fantastic set.</span>

<span itemprop="description">I think the set sacrifices a bit too much aesthetically in order to cram in play features. For example, the head loses some symmetry for the lightsaber compartment and there are two levers that awkwardly jut out the back to open the front hatches. Overall, it's great to look at, but as an Ultimate Collectors Series set, it's primarily a display piece, and I would rather it look good than be filled with play features.</span>

<span itemprop="description">I bought this set when it first came out. I was super excited to get this as it looked like such a great build. Sadly this became my most hated build to date. I lost count of how many time R2's side pieces came off. Trying to attach the sides I found near on impossible. I ended up taking a break from this for several weeks as as soon as one side was attached putting the other one caused the first one to fall off. This happened over and over again. I also had a couple of pieces missing.</span>

<span itemprop="description">R2D2 was my first ever Lego set. Yes, really! One of my friends has built Lego Star Wars sets for a while, and when they noticed that an R2 set was on the way, they let me know immediately. R2 is my favorite Star Wars character of all time, and even though I had never built an actual Lego set before, I knew I needed to build my boy. As a beginner, I knew this would be a challenge - and it was! It took me one whole season of the Great British Baking Show, but I was able to finish R2 with little issue.
This build was sturdy and even though this was my first time working with technic, it wasn't overly complicated. R2 looks fantastic when displayed, and I find his functioning pieces to be very cool. I do wish there could have been some function to raise the scope on the top of his head instead of having to do it manually (like the little rods you can push on his back in order to help extend some of his little robotic arms) but that's more of a dream than an actual criticism. This was a wonderful first experience with Lego for me, and inspired me to start a Lego collection with how fun and challenging it was. Also - really good price for R2 compared to some of the other Lego Star Wars sets. If you're on the fence about buying this set and you love R2? I say go for it!</span>

<span itemprop="description">R2 has been one of my favorite droid since the initial trilogy so he was a must buy for me. I stayed up super late to purchase him when he went live on the Lego store.
We hit a snag building him due to his middle leg. There are quite a bit of moving parts that need to line up just right, which the diagrams do a great job of showing, but his middle leg that extends and contracts inward wasn't functioning properly about half way through the build. Besides having to take him apart to pretty much brick one and start over, the end result was worth it. The middle leg and head were the most complicated parts of the build in my opinion. I would recommend to those who want a challenge. He is happily sitting in our cabinet with our other builds.</span>
