It was a fun project to complete with my husband. The set has a lot of unique pieces and it gave us good mental exercise building it. The Trench Run Diorama makes for a real cool display set! I had tons of fun building it but also a lot of frustration because each time i was done a bag there were several pieces extra which had nowhere to go. As such i had to reread the instructions to ensure everything was where it belonged. The instructions are average and many items are not described in the instructions. As such you have to relay on the pictures a lot to ensure that everything is in its place. He was ecstatic when I showed him the Death Star Trench Diorama because we are both huge Star Wars fans. He really enjoyed the fact that the Death Star Trench Run Diorama is unique and different from other Lego sets that we've done in the past. The diorama was a nice introduction to greebling, and it definitely enticed us to seek out similar ones in the future! It was also interesting in that it recreates an iconic movie scene as opposed to just an object. It's perfect for display and fun to build! The details are amazing and it serves as a conversation piece for our fellow Star Wars and Lego loving friends. The build is fun, it's not repetitive or monotonous at all (unlike the 117 green tiles in the Degobah set), and it looks absolutely fantastic on display. The micro-build X-wing looks great and the TIE fighters are well represented, too. The only nit to pick is the colour of the interior piece of Vader's side panels being grey rather than black. I understand that the piece isn't available in black at the moment... but why not?
