<span itemprop="description">This set is Lego’s latest addition to the Boba Fett range released to coincide with the Disney Plus series. My Tatooine collection is embarrassingly large and this set was to be the final piece. Two sets later and it’s clear that I have a real problem.
Build time is 3-5 hours depending on urgency and brick knowledge. The set comes with SEVEN minifigures, a word capitalised as this is generous for the size and price of the set. I won’t name all seven as life’s too short, but at the risk of exposing holes in my Star Wars knowledge you get Boba Fett, Fennec Shand, Bib Fortuna and one of the green axe wielding rhino-like guards. The build is solid and playability will appeal to the younger fans. The more mature fans may take issue with a few things…
Here we must look into the etymology and the change in design is clear to see. Previously this building set was ‘Jabba’s Palace’ (9516) a 717 piece set that included a prominent two story tower and larger round throne room with detachable roof, accurate to the Return of Jedi set and fit for a ruler. Lego have been careful to manage expectations here by using the name ‘Throne Room’ as although this newer set weighs in at a heavier 732 pieces, the focus is now on playability as opposed to size and accuracy. There is no circular roof, the tower is but a large chimney and the set instead opens to include a bar and a cooking area behind the main throne room and an ejectable throne amongst other gimmicks.
At this point you may detect cynicism and disappointment in my tone. I’ve not hidden it well. I am a little saddened by sacrificing the accuracy of the building in favour of playability. There will be those that will appreciate the extra playability and they’re entitled to their opinion. But they’re also wrong.
Overall a solid set and worth the price and a place in your collection. But maybe Lego deviated a little too far from Jabba’s Palace for fans of the original trilogy.</span>

<span itemprop="description">The kiddos gave me this set for Father’s Day this year. It’s overall a pretty simple build, but a lot of fun to put together. The set offers a lot of fun play for varying ages, and is a ton of fun to set up for display. In terms of minifigures, all of them but boba were new to our collection, and having a Fennec (contrary to many reviews I’ve seen, I prefer that she doesn’t come with a mask) is awesome, and the Theelin, Weequay, Quarren, and Gammorean are great for any Tatooine display. My only complaint is the top of the tower is particularly difficult to play in for the kiddos and hard to get a minifig in for display.
I’ve set it up as part of a display with the Mos Eisley Cantina and love it.</span>

Totally different-type set than Jabba’s Palace. It’s best to view this as simply the throne room section of the palace. We’ll layer-out and fun to play or display. I like it!</span>

<span itemprop="description">As a fan of the Star Wars OG trilogy this set was high on my list having missed the Jabbas palace from a few years back, first the exterior design is not really accurate (not even close) without the controversial roof, I get it’s a play set so that in mind the interior is great and mini fig selection is very good (but not great) it would have been nice to have two gammorean guards and an helmet option for fennec shand, I’m actually contemplating buying another set to expand further on this one and include another level with the medical chamber and make the lookout tower higher, should really appeal to children who will love the figures and play features not as appealing to adult collectors (who are probably hoping for a UCS version) but can see adults buying all the same, another plus point not too many stickers :)</span>

It features a really solid and nice build of the main throne room which has plenty of play features while also looking stellar on display with a nice open plan style to it. The figures, though, are really what drew me to the set; you get 7 in total (the majority of which are exclusive) that all have really nice new moulds as well as top notch printing. Overall a pretty great deal for the price and one I'm definitely pleased for buying.</span>

<span itemprop="description">Ok so first of all almost everyone agrees this set, for the money, needs the roof. However since Lego chose to omit this from the build for the purpose of not offending the less than 1% of the people building this set, what they did was actually quite clever. The 2 grate pieces on the roof allow light in that when placed at the right angle mimics the shot at the end of the mandalorian season 2. Which brings me to another point. People complain about not getting 2 gamorrean guards because in the TV show The Book Of Boba Fett he had 2 guards with him but this isn't a Book Of Boba Fett set its actually from the mandalorian season 2. This explains the playable features such as the 1 gamorrean guard falling down the stairs like we see in the Mando season 2 as well as Bib Fortuna being thrown off the throne by Boba Fett again in season 2 of the Mandalorian not Book of Boba Fett not to mention the lighting from the roof mimicking this scene. The throne room section is nicely detailed but seems too cramped. The door on the stupidly short guard tower is a nice feature that you can position open or closed. The little alcove on the left side is a good representation of what we see across from the throne. So not bad but could have been much better. Like I said the center portion is well done for what it is but could be better for the price point.</span>

<span itemprop="description">Fun set to build with my daughter with lots of playable features like the platform, door, rotisserie, and all the cool figures.
We were even able, with a few extra mini figures and pieces (to build a Jaba), to make a Return of the Jedi re-creation!</span>

<span itemprop="description">I can't express how impressed I am with this set. The minifigs are great (Excluding Fennec). The only problem with her is that her hairpiece is not very good looking, and there is no helmet included. The Boba minifig is also ridiculously inaccurate. The helmet and jetpack are both the wrong color. I like everything else though. The problem with the build is that the throne does not lock in to place. It can fall out when you are picking up the set. Also, the dome on top of the palace is missing! I understand it had controversy surrounding it in 2012, because it looked too much like a Mosque. But, that is not an excuse for it to be this inaccurate. Other than the things listed, it is an amazing set.</span>

He’s watched every Star Wars show on Disney+ so he knew exactly who he was dealing with. He sat down and worked for a few hours— which is surprising because that boy never sits still— ever! It took him about 2 hours to complete, but he’s so proud, and he loves it so much. He totally felt like the instructions, as per the norm for Lego, were super and easy to follow!</span>

You really can’t beat how fun legos are when it comes to toys. As always, the instructions were very clear and easy to follow. It took my son around an hour for this one, since it’s on the bigger side. We have used the app for other builds, which can be useful for younger kids as well! This set has so many great actions and things to play with- including Boba Fett! I love that the set folds up. It makes it more diverse for play, but also really great for storage. The build has all the things we expect from Lego; really fun and satisfying to build, sturdy and fun to play with!</span>

It took him a little time putting it together, and we helped him here and there. Lego really has upped their game! I highly recommend this set and would definitely buy again.</span>
