I enjoyed the build and I like how detailed it is. The details on the top and sides of ship are cool. However, I think there was room in the ship for another room. A cargo bay with a smugglers hold would have been great. C-3P0 does not fit well behind Chewbacca in the cockpit and the quad guns don't rotate, but these complaints are minor. I think this is a great set with detailed rooms and minifigures. Cons: After reading some of the other reviews on here, i can say that if you arent careful with the set, it can fall apart on you! Transporting from one room to another is a little tricky, you have to put your arms in just the right spot so the underside doesnt come detatched... (speaking from experience) I was a teeny bit disapointed in the way the top panels are attached to the frame, theyre just placed on. But this is to allow acces to the interior so can't complain too much. Now... Stickers... on a set of this scale, and price... i was REALLY disapointed to see stickers, ESPECIALLY the plaque. I know why stickers are included but there are printed parts in this set so why not just print all that parts that are needed. This is a collectors item. Build it once and display it for the world to see. The stickers are the reason this rating lost some points for me. PROS: With the negatives out of the way i can say with full confidence this is the most fun ive ever had with Lego. It took over a day to build and it gives a full sense of achievement upon completion. The attention to detail is breathtaking. So many small bits and pieces that just add so much character the ship of so many childhood memories! Overall i'm very happy with this, it was a christmas gift and i almost cried when i opened it! That said there are a few tiny things I would tweak to make it perfect. 1. Pulling down the passenger drawbridge causes the underside of that panel to come loose as its only attached by 4 pegs. Needs a re-enforcement of some kind. 2. The bottom panels below back engine / thruster area are not as even as the top with the engine tubes which looks a bit odd. 3. I agree with some of the negative reviews that pieces can fall off. It is more appropriate for display than for play. That's probably why the age rating is 16+. It is in the Collector's Series, so all that is fine, no problem for me. Here's my one frustration, and why only 3 stars overall. There are 17 steps, and each has 3-5 numbered bags of parts. But then, some steps also require &quot;extra&quot; parts that are in unnumbered bags, and those parts are usually in a different box than the one the bags for that step are in. This is completely unnecessary and makes for a lot of frustration just searching for parts. Someone in the packaging design department must have thought, &quot;let's make this huge and somewhat difficult set much more difficult and frustrating by hiding some of the parts in unnumbered bags in different boxes.&quot; That person should be severely reprimanded. Other than that, great set, great experience. If you buy this set, be sure to unpack each box, sort all the bags, and set aside all the unnumbered bags so you can find the &quot;missing&quot; parts. So I had high expectations for this. The great about this kit is that it's Lego and it's a spaceship. Not only that, it's an iconic spaceship and it's very big. All of that makes it an amazing set and ensures it will be a huge hit regardless of the set itself. During the whole build it felt like Lego threw away an opportunity here. The model is weak, the front &quot;noses&quot; are flimsily attached and the underside is so weak the manual has to show you where to safely lift it. There are big empty spaces inside and all the attention has gone on fragile external detailing. Considering this was a refresh of an existing kit, I would have expected much more attention to making this a truly amazing sturdy build like almost every other Lego set. That's what makes Lego great, you build something you can touch - the 'swoosh' factor. But not this set, you can't go near it without something falling off. It's also the first set out of hundreds I've built that was missing a piece. One comment is that there is an entire section in the back that is unused. It would have been nice if the design team could have added a third room to the set. I know that this is more of a show piece rather than a play set, but anyone that buys this is just indulging their inner child. I've been looking for a set that would really not only be challenging but also not be over after a few hours! 13 days over 25 hours and I finally finished what I can only describe as the best build I've ever done...and it's HUGE!! I've mounted mine on an Efferman Stand and will be putting it in a display cabinet. The model is excellent and really captures the look of the falcon especially with the original radar dish. If I had to pick on one minor disappointment with the set it would be the dark grey stripes on each Mandible. These aren't on the ship in the movie and from my research I've discovered they were only ever shown on a CG SE version in a book and appears for one frame in TFA however it is not on any of the studio models especially in ESB so I'm not sure why the designers chose to include this. Even the build manual which has photos of the original studio models doesn't show the dark grey stripes. It's and easy fix and only requires a few parts so I'll be changing mine out to make them all the same shade of grey. For such a large set the only portion I found remotely tedious was the landing gear pieces. While it is expensive and very big, I would recommend this to any Star Wars or Lego fan. Once built it is problematic. It is delicate to move, heavy and no matter how careful bits fall off. I think the high brick number is reached by including hundreds of small bits just added on the outsides. Where a transfer would have added detail for example it&rsquo;s replaced with a few hundred small bits. If something falls off it&rsquo;s a devil finding its original home. Because of its size this is not a playset, it is too unweldly and fragile. So if it&rsquo;s a display model protecting it from dust becomes an issue. I had to customise an ikea coffee table to make a home for it. Everybody who sees it first time says &ldquo;wow!&rdquo;. But where to put it is something to consider before you buy. It is a challenging build and looks great. Well worth the price it is the best looking LEGO set out there. It's a hard build but not too hard for an experienced builder which makes it super fun. And it looks so impressive on display no matter how you show it off. My only complaint is about the figures. I wish more had been included and more effort was put in to make them exclusive. My biggest issue is that Finn has regular black legs with no printing or anything. But it's mostly about the set itself, the figures are a minor issue. If you want this, and you can afford it, get it.
