Don’t get me wrong, the set is great, but there are too many stickers and it’s driving me crazy. I am a perfectionist and whenever I screw up a tiny little sticker, i peel it off and put it back on until its perfect, and by then, the sticker looks crap.
And yeah, just leave the stickers off and have a crap looking C8.R. But I don’t care if you leave the cars with a ton of stickers, but don’t ever make any more 1x1 size or headlight stickers!
Anyways, other than that, the set is a fun build and I enjoy displaying it. Can’t wait for some more speed champions builds and hoping that lego will make some more hypercars, like the W Motors Lykan Hypersport and the Bugatti Chiron. :)</span>

The wheels roll, so play is easy after assembly. Applying the stickers takes some care if you want them nice and straight, since they’re very small. The C8.R was a great build and took quality time to build. Lots of stickers requiring care and patience but well worth it. The 1969 had some good build techniques but frankly the roof "slabs" are awful and the color is less than stellar. Overall, it's rather clunky compared to other speed champions</span>

To fit the lady in the red car we had to take the roof and the windscreen out, put her in with her hand in the air, then carefully thread the windscreen round her. <span itemprop="description">I am really enjoying these recent sets where a new IMSA race car is paired with a classic road car of the same make/model. I like the new stickers where clear sections aid with placement, and reduce the problem of peeling with wear. The 1968 Corvette has an awkward roof solution, I thought that a T-top solution would be better. Also the new frame piece is so low that it doesn't look stock, the wheels look under-sized. No complaints about the C8.R, a delightful build that scales nicely with the other cars in the Speed Champions series. Looks great next to the Ferrari!</span>

Then you finish building and it comes to the tires with no rims? Why after all LEGO has spent on ads telling people to build your own things from the existing sets you own they go and limit our ability to do just that by combining the tire and rim into one mold thus taking away the option of using the rim and tire separately for MOCs etc..
I definitely don’t like the new tire/rim piece and I’m sure I’m not alone.</span>

<span itemprop="description">This set is really nice detailed. Bring it us old and new generation of vehicles. This shows how incredible the evolution can really be. Even in Lego form.
Fun fact: the 1968 corvette is older than my bro's (Not Lego Set) actual 1981 Datsun.
The only little problem is the 1968 corvette mini-figure almost didn't fit because of the front windshield, however, I did managed to get him inside fully so it is possible to do that. Overall, I fully recommend this set if you put a lot of passion into them.</span>

He has autism and adores building things and cars so this was the perfect set for him. He did need quite a bit of adult help from my partner but between the two of them they had them built in around hour n half.
Once they were built he spent ages just playing and making up some fantastic imaginative race ideas.
This is definitely something I would look to buy more varieties of (different car models) because the pure joy my son got from them was amazing</span>

It is both challenging but also rewarding as he was independently able to do it himself. It provided hours of fun on a rainy day. He was so happy once it was complete and hasn’t stopped playing with it. He now wants to buy more just like this. Would definitely recommend. Great design and worth the money.
