<span itemprop="description">This is such a fun build to do. The spinning ghosts/Pac Man unit that sits on top is quite neat and looks pretty good, with a satisfying mechanism to make the characters spin around. The cabinet itself is pretty much a by-the-numbers build but the really interesting bit is the screen section.
I've seen some reviews saying this is tedious but I didn't find it to be. The mechanism used is ingenious and when complete the way the round tiles printed with the sprites move so smoothly around corners in the maze is hugely impressive.
Top tip - while building keep checking that the chain mechanism is moving freely; I didn't and when I'd finished the screen section I turned the gear at the back and found the chain was catching somewhere. I turned the lever until it caught and tried to track down the source of the snag but must have pushed a little too hard and popped the chain apart. It was a real pain to reattach the links and I ended up dismantling one side to get to the separated links, although it was still very fiddly to reattach them once they are in-situ. On the plus side, when I put these parts back I'd cleared whatever the obstruction was so all's well that ends well!
The little arcade vignette is a very nice addition and rounds out the build, although I don't know why you'd want to hide it away inside the main model.
As an aside, out of the (many!) Lego sets I've bought this is the first one that has ever had a missing piece, a red angled bracket that sits within the orange ghost on top. I've ordered a replacement but it's a bit wobbly at the moment as I didn't have a similar piece in my box of spares to replace it with!</span>

This Pac-Man set really caught my eye as I’m a big fan of gaming and retro games. I found the building experience really engaging and easy to understand. Even if you’re a beginner if you follow the instructions it’s pretty easy so long as you’re patient. The finished result is impressive and it looks great on display in my man cave. I hope Lego produces further arcade classics, a space invaders would be fantastic.</span>

Lower score for the packaging - on these larger sets and boxes, Lego normally packages half the set in an extra box inside, but not this one. The result - tons of loose LEGO floating around in the box, unsure of which bag or bags they came from. The manual is much too big and heavy to be able to slosh around with all these bags. Please work on packaging - I know you are going to paper and having issues (beyond cost), but likely struggling with keeping things from coming open there as well. Compartmentalize the sets and you'll save us all from damage, loose bricks, and frustration.</span>

<span itemprop="description">First I would like to say the Pac-Man Arcade is a very solid build when completed and looks very good. The over all build went very well. I had an issue with the top chain sticking when cranking the handle. I rebuilt the chain and made sure the two guides next to the drive gear were in their proper position. That took care of the chain sticking. One point I would like to make to LEGO is when they show a picture in the manual to try and use a picture like Page 185 Step 145 so a person can count how many holes to help them space out what is being installed. It is sometimes difficult to see exactly where a part goes when all you have to look at is an angled 3/4 view. Keep up the great work LEGO and I can’t wait to see your future sets.</span>
