<span itemprop="description">I received this set as a Christmas gift, and let me tell you, it is PHENOMENAL. Hedwig looks amazing and the owl build was surprisingly non-repetitive for me. It looks great next to my Hogwarts castle. I love how you can personalize it by changing the scarf and signing your name on the letter.
I do have an idea to add another Harry potter set though, and it's to add a build-your-own-wand set!

<span itemprop="description">So, this was a challenge to me from a build perspective. There were a number of places where I struggled with the instructions and being able to tell what piece actually went where - that led to a number of re-dos which are never fun. The end display is really pretty, but the letter was a huge challenge to snap into place. Every time I tried a piece broke off and I am not sure what I have ended up with is correct as there is a gap between the 2nd and bottom piece of the letter which doesn't look great. The wand is a little boxy for me, and the reviews comparing the scarf to a McD's french fry box - spot on - and I have to imagine that simply using gold and maroon pieces instead of the bright red and yellow would have solved that (I have felt that about a bunch of the HP sets when it comes to the Gryffindor colors). I will also note that I am not sure Hedwig's wings are on exactly correct but in the end I am not sure it matters either. I am also not sure why lego didn't use a clear piece to attach the snitch and I am surprised that the glasses don't attach somewhere (although I like where I managed to sit them).
But - despite that - I love the books, the Felix bottle and Hedwig is just beautiful. The frog is cute and the display for the golden figurines is a must if you are like me - and like to display the sets without much "DIY"/"MOC" worked in. I like the sets the way lego intends. Although I also had some issues with that little display and connecting them.
Despite any criticism however, I love the set and think it is a must for any HP Lego collector!</span>

Following that great and fun experience, I moved on to Hogwarts Icons, a build I found to be even more fun! From start to finish, the experience was amazing. The finished product makes a stunning (and elegant) display piece. Highly recommended!</span>

<span itemprop="description">Personally i am not a Harry Potter fan, though when i saw this set it instantly caught my eye and I had to have it. The owl is built so nicely and the whole thing comes together beautifully. The potion bottles were fun to build and the wand is fun to mess around with. Its a must have.</span>

<span itemprop="description">Wonderfully done, Much nicer looking Hedwig than previous version. The level of detail put into this set from Hedwig down to Tom Riddle's diary and Harry's wand is incredible. I had such a fun time building this set while watching the movies in the background. Couldn't be more happy with this set personally.</span>

<span itemprop="description">I have several of the Harry Potter lego sets and this is by far the most beautiful. The wings get a little tiresome to build but the rest of the piece was amazing. The age recommendation is not a joke, this piece was complicated. A few errors in the instructions, but easy to figure out the correct pieces needed. Hedwig feels really breakable, so make sure she has a safe place to live and that you don't have kids who want to touch.</span>
