This set is sturdy, attractive, and full of charming details. I enjoyed the Sirius wanted poster. I do wish that the minifigures were more detailed and unique to this set. I enjoy Harry Potter, but saw this on sale and bought it primarily to compliment my winter/Christmas builds. And together with the advent calendar pieces it is a lovely winter addition to our big Hogwarts Castle. However, its only pros are the looks. This set was the least enjoyable to built so far. The lower half of the buildings were fine. But the top part lead to a lot of frustration in both houses. The roof in particular was difficult to connect and when pressure was applied the wrong way it would lead to half the house falling apart. Even after multiple adjustments, small gaps where bricks wouldn&rsquo;t connect fully remained. We took the set apart and rebuilt it to add lights (not LEGO branded) and encountered the same problems all over again. The only advantage here is that the wiring for the lights usually leads to small gaps but since they are already present in the set, the extra ones for the wiring evened things out. Whilst we will keep the set as a decoration piece it works for our purposes and we would recommend it if you want it for decor and have a high frustration tolerance. My son loves playing with it and moving the characters around. It's such a sweet and idyllic little village; I just wish there were a few more shops to put with it! I do find the roof excruciatingly frustrating to get onto the buildings, but otherwise it's so much fun that I have actually taken the set apart at night and rebuilt it by myself. Highly recommend this set! I do find it a bit pricey, but then, all lego has increased in price too much IMO. As she starts to build, it becomes apparent the doorway to Honeydukes (6342692) is scratched, possibly from the manufacturing process, and a part for the chimney is missing (6222362). Onto the second building and there is several missing pieces; 5 window panes (6278710) are missing for the window frames, and 1 white piece that creates the snow (4547489). She was gutted. So I go to order the missing pieces and I can't order them all, I am limited to only one window pane (6278710), because the set is listed as only having one. Looking at the building instructions, it shows several window panes (6278710) being used, but only lists one in the pieces list. This is a great set, but the building and playing experience has been ruined. The build experience is interesting, never dull or repetitive. However, the roof of the Three Broomsticks was a challenge for my old fingers! I slightly modified the build by using 2 studs to fit the triangles at the top so the roof parts could sit flat. I&rsquo;m not a great fan of using panels for walls although they enable details to be added. For the pub I replaced the panels with brick built walls and added windows to make the lower floor a bit lighter. The minifigures are terrific, but a Cornelius Fudge would be nice, after all he had a fondness for Madam Rosmerta. Honeydukes is great with all the details of the sweet treats on offer and I love the colour of the bricks. There&rsquo;s enough space in the model to recreate scenes from the films and I&rsquo;m enjoying creating a snowy scene around the buildings.
