I ended up watching the original Ghostbusters movie and the new afterlife version. It was a very enjoyable process of building it and finding the little add-ons that makes the set even more enjoyable. I thought the instructions were really straight forward and helped lead to a fun build. I'd highly recommend tis set to anyone thinking of purchasing it.</span>

<span itemprop="description">It's just a fun build in its entirety. Long build session, excellent attention to detail for the newest film, Afterlife, and great play features. It really does the movie some service, although I have just one chief complaint...
Stickers...I mean honestly there is a plus side and a negative side to stickers. You can choose to have a clean build, or a "rusted" build. Both are cool. I went with the clean build, as I am terrible at putting stickers on right, due to not so steady hands, and I personally preferred the original films Ecto-1 look, but still had to get this set.
Other than the stickers, great play factors, loved the details, and it was a great build session that lasted a few days.</span>

<span itemprop="description">Imposant tant par le nombre de pièces que par la taille, ce modèle propose une expérience de construction complexe qui demandera toute votre attention. La quantité de mécanismes mobiles que l'on commence à préparer dès les premières étapes ne pardonne pas les erreurs de placement, et l'enchevêtrement des différentes parties pourrait plus tard vous obliger à reculer de nombreuses étapes en cas d'erreur. C'est donc un travail minutieux qui vous attend, mais le résultat final est à la hauteur du travail accompli. Bien que principalement constitué de pièces Classic avec juste un soupçon de Technic, l'ensemble monté est extrêmement solide. Qui plus est, avec tous ces mécanismes ingénieux parfaitement dissimulés c'est un modèle qui se prête facilement au jeu malgré l'absence flagrante - voire hurlante - de figurines, qui est évidemment une conséquence de la taille du modèle ou plutôt de son rapport d'échelle incompatible avec les minifigs Lego. Il faudra se consoler avec la trappe arrière qui libère le récipient de fantômes aussi merveilleusement que dans le film Héritage, les capots et portières ouvrants, le moteur avec des courroies et poulies mobiles, la direction fonctionnelle et commandée via le gyrophare ou le volant, le siège escamotable, les roues qui actionnent les radars... C'est une véritable mine de surprises ! Encore une fois, seul un assemblage minutieux permettra que ces mécanismes fonctionnent parfaitement mais le jeu en vaut la chandelle même sans les personnages dont, là aussi je me répète, on regrette vraiment l'absence en considérant l'excellence de ce set.</span>

<span itemprop="description">This is the worst Lego set my son has ever received. The design of the back half is garbage. It is so unstable, every new step you do the back falls apart. We did this as a family to help each other and it was the worst experience with a Lego set we’ve EVER had. I am so disappointed with this set I wish we could send it back. This was the only thing my son wanted for Christmas and he is so sad about it. Please redo the design to support the weight.</span>

<span itemprop="description">This is probably the second best design I’ve experienced after the Saturn V rocket. To capture all the details and curves of a 1950s Cadillac is an incredible feat. Not only that but all the mechanisms worked first time! It’s a great build, loads of intricate construction methods and it looks great (even without any stickers). Very highly recommended!</span>

<span itemprop="description">This is, by far, the worst Lego built:
1) It is so fragile, and when you need to trace your steps back the third time cos some other parts had fallen off whilst you assemble your current built, you wonder if it's worth your time & energy.
2) Yes, there are missing parts. C'mon Lego, you are much better than this. So after all that frustration, I can't complete this (during my Christmas break) due to missing pieces. So now have to wait 7-10 work days for those parts to come through, which by then I'd be back at work.
Frustration is an understatement :(</span>

<span itemprop="description">As a display, the piece is gorgeous. The lines and design are near perfect. And the technical engineering? Wow! Turning the wheels by the light, radar as it drives, hinges that I've never seen done, and I'm still not sure how that seat works!
However: Some of the larger decorative items are held on by a single stud. The rear fins, the front bumper, the rear fenders - all so loose they'll fall off if you blow on them hard. This has been engineered to be played with, but you can't play with it and keep it in tact!
I'd also agree with someone else's review - Stay away from the rust stickers - they're goofy and repetitive. Also - it would have been nice to have the pull-out rack and extra proton packs to make a Ecto-1a version from the original movie.</span>

<span itemprop="description">I’m a kind of Ghostbusters fanatic and have a lot of Ghostbusters memorabilia, so this was a perfect addition to my collection took me around 7-8 hours to finish this build and I thoroughly enjoyed each part of building this project, would highly recommend this to any builder, could be quite time consuming to anyone under 18 though as it takes a lot of concentration. Only draw back I would say is the black background of the instructions manual can be quite confusing to read but still got the build done either way.</span>

That being said the end product is not as sturdy as I would have hoped. Front bumper and lights break off with the slightest mistouch and the passenger side door is too easily taken off as well. Can be a bummer when you want to show it off to your friends and family.

<span itemprop="description">I'd love to give this a better rating, but for now I can't complete the build as it's missing at least one bag. First time it's happened for me, but considering that I'll need to wait around 2 weeks (estimated) to be able to complete, and I don't know if I'm missing any more bags (since there are multiples of each number). It really takes away from the build experience.
For one of the more expensive sets, I expected better.</span>

<span itemprop="description">You can avoid using the rust sticker and have the good old Ecto-1.from Ghostbuster 1. That Lego is amazing. I use the spare part to add a lever to hold the hood open for display (see pictures)</span>

<span itemprop="description">This is the first somewhat technic build ive purchased and what a build to start off on. Over time as i built the car my mind was blown at just how many small details they were able to fit into the build and just how solid it was by the end. This is an amazing display piece that actually offers a bit of playability. Of course this being an 18+ set level its not like im gonna be playing car chases with it on the floor, but if you do have children 12+, im positive they can build this and actually play with it as a functioning toy and not break it. As a ghostbuster fan having this sit next to the lego firehouse with its mini-figure scale ecto, it looks perfect. Its actually amazing to compare both the large one to the small one as you can clearly see how they shrunk the details of the big car down to the little one. Would certainly recommend to any GB fan, or to anyone who loves a classic Cadillac.</span>

<span itemprop="description">I'm very much the wrong side of 35 and, believe it or not, this was my very first Lego set.
Before starting the build I did wonder if the Ecto-1 might be a bit complicated for my first set, but those fears were soon allayed when I opened the instructions. It's incredibly well laid out, and clearly highlights which pieces you are adding to the build for each step.
I found the Technic aspects of the build especially enjoyable; seeing how all of the moving parts of the Ecto-1 work is really fascinating. The gunner seat is especially cool.
What really makes the build shine though is all of the kit on top of the roof. I absolutely love all of the detail that Lego have crammed into that area.
Being a kid of the 80s/90s, I decided to not use the rust stickers. Nothing wrong with them, but I enjoy the cleaner look it produces.
A great build to start my Lego collection (which has swollen rather a lot since this purchase).</span>
