The kit comes with booklets with matching numbers to the bag. All the parts needed for assembly are in separate bags. The instructions are easy to follow for any age group and gives you illustrations on how to put each part together. This kit is good for children who are ages 6 and older because of the challenge level of assembly. There are lots of small parts, so this kit is not ideal for children under 3. He absolutely loves animals so this is the perfect set for him as it includes elephants, alligator, monkeys etc.. your little one will have hours of fun and be able to use their imagination with this set. It took 3 hours for me to build it with my son but well worth it. This is perfect for all family, not just children. It does take about a day for my youngest to figure out how to assemble everything, even with the instructions (but it is not supposed to be a one-hour distraction after all!). The helicopter is much bigger than it seems on the box, the animals are well made (a shame it's just a few of them), and the pieces are good quality. This set somehow seems to be in need of some add-ons or more activities in my opinion. The separate books for each section of the build were very useful with step by step visual instructions that even my son could follow. Its a jungle setting with different rescue vehicles and a first aid/ vet tent. It has a good selection of animals. Including parent and baby elephant, monkeys and crocodiles. There is quite alot of theme bits to build too. There is a scene where you can make the tree collapse. You can then use the helicopter to move the tree and bolders. The helicopter is a firm favourite of my sons. The tank vehicle is great too!. He's spent hours playing with this set. With a little imagination the possibilities are endless. The age on this 6+. But to be honest its great for any age animal lover. Its of excellent quality as you would expect with the lego brand. Overall great set. This is the closest they've come so far. I collect Lego animal figures, so I was very excited to see the new baby elephant, monkey and crocodile moulds. The crocodile eye 'peeking out' of an egg is a cute detail. The rest of the set is quite simplistic but effective. The helicopter is impressive.
