He has hundreds of tiny plastic dinosaurs and quite a few from the Jurassic World series, although this is his very first Mosasaurus. I was really impressed with this Camp Cretaceous version! As huge proponents of recycling, I appreciate that it is partly made from ocean bound plastics. It's an impressive effort made by Mattel to help curb some of the plastics that are contaminating our oceans. Back to the dinosaur! It's huge! My 10 year old said, &quot;That's a quality toy and it's really nice.&quot; He's so right! The 6 year old hasn't put it down since we put it together, and has been playing with it along with his giant (Super Colossal) Indominous Rex and (Legacy Collection) Brachiosaurus. The larger size of this Mosa is perfect for playing along with the giant dinos, while also being the right size for when he takes it to bed with him! I love the paint job on this Mosa, and that the jaw opens, the fins move, and the tail is on a ball joint so it can move, too. This really helps him play imaginatively, and he loves it! We were excited to receive this toy because we were expecting it to be very true to life and large in size. Upon opening the toy, it actually exceeded our expectations in those areas! The material used to make the toy is recycled sea debris so that is a very cool bonus. It feels realistic, almost like a reptile skin. It&rsquo;s squishy and malleable on the outside to give it that realistic feel, and tail and fins rotate and move. The jaw also opens up to reveal lots of sharp teeth! I love that it doesn&rsquo;t make noises or anything so it really involves my son&rsquo;s imagination. My only complaint, and reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5, is the jaw needs to be manually opened and closed. It would be a lot easier and realistic if there were a lever or button that allowed the jaw to open so that the child could really add that realistic play factor. Overall it&rsquo;s a great toy- very well designed, recycled materials, and and super realistic. Best of all it&rsquo;s HUGE. This is a big dinosaur! There are four fins and a tail that snap into place making a one time easy installation. Once it&rsquo;s put together it is about 30&rdquo; from the tip of the nose to the end of the tail. The body is a soft plastic and filled with air. All the other parts are hard plastic. The mouth opens and closes and the fins and tail can be posed. It doesn&rsquo;t do much, but my five year old son was impressed with its size and likes having it attack his dinosaurs. The only problem we have is that I can&rsquo;t get the icon on the flipper to scan into the dinosaur facts app on my phone, but that could be because it&rsquo;s so new.
