Slam down on the launchers and away the cars go. After completing a lap, the arms move down and until after five times, they break the track and cars crash. A quick and easy reset begins the game again. My boy quickly picked up on the whole thing and has been sending cars flying around since. I'd think it obvious, but there is a certain level with which you have to hit the launchers to get the cars effectively around. I do wish a harder hit wouldn't send the car completely off, but such is physics. Overall, a great and fun toy. All 3 really like playing with the track, it kept them busy for a fair amount of time, several days in row so far. The directions were really easy to follow when putting the set together. There were matching letters/numbers on all of the pieces where they connected, which made it easy to put them together correctly. My only complaint about the directions is that the sticker directions don't give the part letter just a picture, I was definitely afraid of putting the stickers on wrong. While fun the game is definitely not easy, even frustrating at times. It takes many tries to get the five trips around the track to win. The car struggles to get through the loop, will get caught on the tunnel before the loop and will lose momentum before the switch that lowers the arm and get stopped. The Black Panther car was definitely more difficult to get through than the Spiderman (I think due to the pointy pieces on the back of the car, that were easy to get caught on the track.) When someone wins a little hand that has a 1 on it pops up. The instructions were easy to follow with the coded pieces. All the pieces snap securely in place. We haven't experienced any problem with the pieces coming apart during play. The boys and girls age 3, 5, 5, 9 and 12 have been playing with this for hours on end. They love that when they win it automatically lowers the level on the other track so the other car crashes. This makes it clear who has won. They added some of their other Hot Wheels cars so that they each have their own racers and keep changing them for different races. He likes to make up stories about the characters and how they are racing against each other and against Doc Ock! The concept of the moving tentacle arms crashing the race track is engaging. It does take a bit of finesse to launch the race cars. Sometimes they don't make it around the whole track, fall out of the loops, or get stuck in the gateway - which really only adds to the excitement of trying to beat the other race car. It's a big track and takes up a good amount of floor space. The assembly looked more difficult than it was - the stickers may have been the toughest part to get aligned. This took about 10 minutes to assemble and was fairly easy as all the pieces were labeled to match the included instructions. The fact that this toy requires no batteries is a huge plus. We really liked racing against each other. Really liked that after 5 laps, Doc ock's arms come down to help declare the winner. The loop is pretty good and makes it more exciting and a challenge. We did get a bit frustrated with our cars constantly getting stuck and not making it past the initial straightaway. Seemed like that opening leading from the orange track to the loop may be a little to small. It works as long as you hit it just right. If you hit it too light, it doesn&rsquo;t send the car down the track. If you hit it too hard, the car hops off the track.
