It's easiest for him to spin it in circles, which makes him laugh. He also took a cup and used the control to slowly move the car into the cup as a target, which was great fun! It charges pretty quickly and is easy to plug into a computer. The battery also lasts for a while - definitely long enough for my son to play with it. On its own, it feels somewhat limited. It performs well on hardwood, vinyl, and linoleum but struggles on gravel or carpet. Our cat had a great time chasing it around, which added to the fun! However, using it by itself can feel a bit underwhelming; it's clear that the toy is designed to be used in conjunction with other Hot Wheels products. When combined with tracks, it runs wonderfully! The speed is pretty good but the time it takes to charge is a little too long for my sons attention span and patience.
