This was super easy to assemble and he loves watching and pushing the train around making noises. Very good quality, not flimsy and doesn&rsquo;t take up a ton of room when assembled. My 7 year old was very excited to set it up. It was very simple to assemble and the instructions were easy to follow. My son loved watching the exciting collapse happen and then watching again as Thomas drives through and clears the way. I was very impressed that this was easy for my son to play with on his own. All of the cool features and actions take place smoothly and work as they are intended to. However, unlike most of the other trackmaster sets, this one doesn't lend itself to connecting to others. However, it doesn't consistently work right, the part where Thomas attaches to the spinner doesn't always work, and also when you crank the elevator it sometimes doesn't catch to tip Thomas down the track.
