In this model, which my son received as a Christmas gift, the moulding on one end of one of the monster truck&rsquo;s axels (Piece AM80979BLG) has a smooth end. This means that we cant clip the wheel to the axel, rendering the toy useless. My boys love to build and this set let&rsquo;s them do exactly that. They can create more than one type of car so they done get bored. They one minute want a race car and then next monster truck. They get to use their imagination and make anything they want. They followed the step by step instructions but then made their own versions by mixing and matching sets! We mixed the pieces with bone shaker and my boys liked that. The box also can be used as a ramp and storage for when building the car/truck. The possibilities are endless with this toy! He couldn't pay attention and had a hard time with the small parts so I ended up putting it together myself. I will say, as an adult, I actually had a good time haha. It's a very cool idea, too. The whole bottom part detaches and you can switch between the two sets of wheels; one is a monster truck and one is a regular car/truck. My boys love it but it does come apart easily as expected. This kit is great for building and playing with, and has some degree of customization as well! My kids enjoyed building and as usual, it wasn't overly difficult and the steps were divided up by numbered bags of the parts which made things more simple for them to keep up with. The kit comes with the bottom rig for making it the monster truck style, but also comes with a smaller set of tires to make it like a lower sitting race car, adding that customization element to it, but we also tried using parts and items from other similar sets in this line and were able to mix them up to make some really cool looking truck designs! There are so many options and ways to play with this, it holds my child&rsquo;s interest for a long time. He likes to play rough with his monster trucks and throw them around and he can&rsquo;t quite do it with this one, but he doesn&rsquo;t mind. It was fairly easy to put together and it took my nine year old about 45 minutes by himself. Instructions are easy to follow.
