They LOVE it and love playing in it. Now my youngest has his own little backhoe to play with. He has fun with it pretending to dick and carry dirt. The only &quot;issue&quot; we have is it's hard to have it make the sound. You push the top but sometimes you have to push it really hard. My 6 year old son is infatuated with them so he has enjoyed this toy. The package says this is recommended for children ages 3 and up. One thing to keep in mind, this is made entirely of plastic materials and is not the sturdiest toy. The loader and backhoe both move and it also has outriggers like a real machine. It also makes an engine noise when you press the top of the vehicle. Battat did an amazing job of bringing this joy to everyday play pretend life. The truck&rsquo;s hood opens and shuts to show off the engine (this is also how you can change the batteries!) the doors on the driver and passenger side also open and shut. When you press down on the engine it will either turn on the lights, rev the engine, or make honking noises! The back has a button to push that makes the &ldquo;dumper&rdquo; roll up just like a recycling truck would do. The back also raises up revealing a place where they could put something the are recycling. The bed also tilts all the way back to dump. He loves anything that makes noise and lights up! The truck is a durable toy and stands up to his hard playing. The truck is a decent size, siting at just over 3 inches tall and 7 inches wide. It comes with batteries. Both doors open and close. The hood opens and closes and when you push on the hood it makes a noise that sounds like the truck is running. There&rsquo;s an engine under the hood that creates imaginative playing for little ones that like to pretend. The headlights work and the horn honks. His favorite pet is that the rear loader moves and the container tilts.
