This bike was easy to assembled. He's been able to transition from a balance bike to this bike without training wheels easily. The assembly that needs to be done upon receipt is minimal (for the bike to still fit into a shipping box) and straightforward. The problem is that the pre-assembly done at the factory is bad. In a minor complaint the brakes are set up very badly (but that is pretty easy to fix). The really bad assembly is that the wheels are set up with no play whatsoever and so are horribly hard to move. The bike is nice and works well, but only after a tune-up. A good bike that needs a tune-up right off the box?
