I find the all black of the dress a bit boring, but likely historically valid. And actually, it is very rare to find a doll in a black dress these days, so it is actually unique to my daughter. In these days of dolls with very little clothing this is a nice change of pace. My daughter also liked the boots, hairstyle and the glasses. The little cameo at the neck is very cute. I like that the doll is more full figured than most barbie dolls. It has plastic joints for extra movement at the wrist, elbows, hips and knees. Although, I had to remove the dress and move the elbow joints around to get more natural movement in the arms. I might have been able to do that without removing the dress, if I wasn&rsquo;t afraid of breaking the arms without seeing what I was doing. The cameo and lace is not part of the dress and I had to cut a little plastic tab to remove the dress from it. This is a collectable doll that many people will keep in the box, so for most people that will not be an issue. The doll stand works well and seems to be more sturdy then some that we have had (and broken). The box states that a Certificate of Authenticity is included. There is nothing special about the certificate. It is a very boring black print on a third of a sheet of basic white paper. I feel like they should have made it nicer looking or should have just left it out. I would much rather have a booklet or even a brief description of Susan B. Anthony&rsquo;s life, then the certificate. They did put a brief bio on the back of the box though. That said, I really like the doll. Susan B. Anthony is a good role model for girls. As a doll it is much easier to move and position due to the movable joints. The doll can sit down without looking like she is doing yoga or exercising with legs straight out like more basic barbie dolls. I have three daughters and it&rsquo;s so important to me that they know that they have equality because women before them fought for it. My daughter enjoys playing with her just like any other Barbie, but I was able to give her and my other children a quick history lesson about Susan B. Anthony. It's a great doll for girls to find out about real inspirational women and she loved learning about Susan B. Anthony. It can be played with like any other doll or it can be displayed as a kind of collectors item. The details on the doll are amazing and she looks almost exactly like Susan B. Anthony.
